Some countries have more flexible constitutions than others. Voting in democratic regimes: political succession, provide a mechanism for a peaceful transition of power. In public voting systems people were often pressured into voting a certain way, was advantageous for the rich and powerful. People believed that they owned their vote and therefore often were willing to sell their vote. Public thought to be better than private voting because then you"d have the community"s interests at heart vs. just your own. Public voting is thought to reduce the risk of people being corrupt. Private voting started in the 1980"s in britain so people could vote their conscious without social backlash. Vote swapping two people set up an arrangement where two people exchange votes, where each person votes for the other"s preference; the idea is fine but the sending of proof of the vote is objectable.
