The interview, the hollywood film that has caused an international incident by its criticism of north korea and the north korean regime. The north korea regime care how they are portrayed in the media. Movies made in or about china are unavailable to show crime scenes because there is no crime in china or so the government alleges. All of these dictators have a notorious history of being brutal authoritarian leaders. Non-democratic rule is a residual category with many different types. Types: personal and monarchical rule, the person matters for politics to work, military rule, people with most guns rule, one-party rule, theocratic rule, no democracy because only god should make the rules. Illiberal/ hybrid regimes: lots of aspects of democracy but the rulers are permanent despite elections. People may not necessarily hate these regimes because order is better than chaos. Most people in the world are under some form of non-democratic rule.
