Size and growth of government: difficult to accurately define the size and scope of government. It depends on how much one looks at it; it is difficult to see who works for the government and their payroll. Different people see the government in different sizes. It"s difficult to exactly state how big the government actually is: role of the tax system. Currently saving up for cpp (canadian pension plan) Try to influence and shape our economic behaviour; they are typically not included in the public sector, ex. Governments can influence economics by stating that they will offer loans. Governments can influence investments which companies decide to make. Government makes loans to companies in order to influence economy and increase size of government; the loans aren"t paid back to the government in many cases: quasi-public organizations.
