(ex: money for approach behavior) Motives push a person into action toward an end-state. Incentives pull a person toward an end state. Ex: earning a degree helps a person attend class. Emotion: a universal multi-channeled reaction by which a person copes with a stimulus change. Anger is for coping with a blocked goal. Those that involved physiological changes that make our behavior possible and can influence our thought processes as well. Motivation means to anticipate the end of a journey for satisfying a need or achieving a goal.
