Piaget"s theory of cognitive development: understanding the uses of our senses, using language and other symbols to make sense of things, perception of simple connections of their surroundings. Sees the mind as active and creative unlike freud abstract and critical thinking starts. Kohlberg"s theory of moral development: pre: young children see the world as pain or pleasure, con: teenagers learn right and wrong in terms of what their parents see as norms, post: thinking for yourself. Self: the part of a persons personality compose of self awareness/ image. Social interaction is important to create this. Cohort: a category of people with a common characteristic, usually their age.
