Radical feminism: described as extreme including negative views of males, the current system, suggests that women should stop having sex and children. Liberal feminism: looks at having more equality in gender and opportunity (education, job, pay) Reinforcement: lower statistics is because the system is nicer to women : . authorities are more likely to be lenient and give a warning if they go with stereotypical gender norms. If they are not feminine, they will more likely be charged. 1970s: women being allowed to be liberated, the more likely they are to commit crime. Women tend to be in gendered crimes (shoplifting, prostitution ) Daughters are controlled and socialized to be mothers. Daughters are encouraged to take risks and enter into male dominated fields. They are more likely to be criminal and delinquent. Criticism: we are blaming the mothers for producing criminals, sexist theory, negates and doesn"t involve the role the father has to play in this.
