Compare iago"s shouts/language: a lot of action verbs, very energetic, very intense language, builds up an emotional response before telling what the problem is, view of women is crass. Page 571- line 332ish: put money in thy purse , betting on something. Iago puts the thought that desdemona is only in lust with othello, not love. Line 1, scene 1: full of hate, little interjections, suggests that iago is filled with self-hatred (low-self-esteem, loathes himself. Act 2, scene 1: love is vile, coarse, eye must be fed , only looking at physical looks, she will eventually get bored of him.
