When our body responds to arousing events in the environment, the autonomic nervous system responds. When aroused, the sympatheic division responds by increasing heart rate, blood pressure, blood low to the extremiies, respiraion, sweaing and muscle acivity. Measures how quickly a slight electrical current passes through 2 points on the skin. Esimates the electrical impulses of the muscles during contracion and relaxaion: brain structure. Researchers have looked t relaive size and weight of parts of the brain and the number of cells found in each area/parts of the nervous system. It takes a high resoluion x-ray picture of the brain: can ind abnormaliies and diferences in brain issue. Cross secions of the brain and looked at and they are oten less than 1 mm. Works the same way as a regular mri but the brain acivity is monitored overime by tracing blood-oxygen levels in the brain.
