Children learns what it means to be girl/boy in through family. Family also presents social position to children (race, ethnicity, class, religion) . Children are aware of class from early age. Upper class can also provide cultural capital (travel, dance, music, sports) advance learning and create sense of confidence that will lead to success: ethnic/racial background also influences development of social identity.
