Men"s pride and identity is a big concern during this era. Single men migrated, dnd camps, protest, delayed marriage. Women were expected to quit place of employment once they got married. Age, gender and race determined unemployment"s severity. There were ideas to clear the job of women so that more jobs would appear for men. Most women didn"t go out to work.
