Social influence operates of many levels in our daily life. Is apparent in societal messages about the ideal body image for women and men. Minority influence: when the few influence the many: minority influence occurs when a minority of group members influences the behaviours of beliefs of the majority, minorities influence majorities via informational social influence. In order to influence the majority, minority group members must present their views consistently. Another form of social influence is compliance, a change in behaviour due to a direct request from a another person o.
