Document Summary

Mycelium - bundles or tangled masses of hyphae. Take up nutrients by cell membrane transporters. They are important because they are abundant in ruminant gut. The digestive enzymes are released by the branching hyphae. Instead of decomposing organic matter they will go for animals like frogs they will attach to the skin and they will die from it. Branching frequency works where there is a lot of nutrients, if there is no nutrients it will grow in a straight line. All fungi make this and it is a form go asexual production. When they have a lot of food they will put there cytoplasmic growth into growing these. They will make these when theres no food. Grow as a lament or growth as a yeast. Yeast means every cells is an independent cell and it has to fend for itself, mycelium growth to yeast growth is a drop in nutrients.
