Document Summary

The fibrous skeleton of the heart surrounds all four heart valves. Preventing of the valves from dilating too much. Allows for insertion of the cardiac muscles. Blocks the direct spread of the electrical impulses. The walls of the heart are different in thickness. The ventricles have thick walls, this is because of the pressure difference. Ventricles are the ones that are responsible for the pressure that will carry the blood throughout the body and to the lungs, because of such distances, we need a lot of pressure for this to occur. The left ventricle is much thicker than the right ventricle due to this. The coronary arteries are located within the coronary sulcus, there are two main branches which are the left and the right coronary artery. Blood vessels is the network of tubes that acts as a device to carry the blood through the circuit aka the body.
