Blood comes from the periphery goes into the lobule and drains in the middle. The capillaries in the lobules are called sinusoids and are really large. Lobules are more visible in some organs than others. The blood supply starts on the outside and does to the center. The composition of blood changes dramatically going from the exterior to the interior. The corent of the acinus is called the portal triad.
