Aggressiveness in female mice, when other non-relaive mice are approaching, seems to be heritable and is a measure of indirect itness. Actor: carries acion, recipient: receiving the behavior done by the actor. Mutually beneicial gain for both actor and recipient. In great ani a number of pairs (male and female couples) form nests; one pair of birds can maintain the safety (from predators) of all eggs laid. The more the pairs, the higher the ofspring survivability. The adults here do not have to be related. If they work together, the eggs stay safe. Conlicts may sill arise here with the presence of cheaters, yet the beneit outweighs the cost. Selishness gain for the actor, loss for the recipient. Altruism gain for the recipient, loss for the actor. Squirrels make calls to warn their relaives of a predator. The ground squirrels that make calls are less likely to survive the predator.
