Cadmus irst hero started with 2 siblings europa and cadmus came from eastern city of tyre (not a greek city) Europa was a young princess, zeus was atracted to her, changed himself to a bull, all europa"s friend ran of both went west. Europa did not leave, got very close with the bull, she jumped onto his back and the bolt (zeus) jumped into the mediterranean sea eloped with europa and impregnated her. Apollo at delphi: oracle said to not worry about his sister, said he"s going to see a cow when he leaves the temple, told to follow the cow to establish a city, slaughtered the cow. Big emphasis of bulls: cadmus and thebes, foundaion of thebes-spartoi. When cadmus was about to make sacriices of the cow, sent a servant to look for water.
