Cuing back number of cigaretes is not shown to have any beneits as an efecive way to quit. Stop smoking medicaion, deals with family/friends, quiing smoking programs etc. How we came to recognize that smoking causes cancer. Talks about controversy (how do you know that there is a direct link and it isn"t other lifestyle or geneic factors that cause cancer, not nicoine?lol stupid!) Shiting social norms to increase proits by maximizing their target market (to include women, that did not use to smoke before irst world war) Appealing to women"s desire about looking good, keeping slender, prevening future gain by smoking instead of eaing. Also associated with being a good mother.
