50 views3 pages

Document Summary

The attribution error plays an important part in con ict. The basic concepts are quite simple, but their implications are profound for understanding how con ict functions. As you see in the diagram, we tend to see ourselves differently than we see the other with whom we are in con ict. When i behave well in a con ict, i see this as a function of my basic behaviour i am at my core a good person. My bad behaviour, i see as a function of externalities: someone or something forced me to do the bad deed. On the other hand, when the other person behaves badly, this is a result of their basic character they are at their core a bad person. However, when they behave well, that is because of externalities someone or something forced them to do the good deed.
