Of the ulimate sancion of the principle of uility. Divest: deprive someone of power, rights or possessions. We want to reduce utlity to principles. Sancions: oicial permission or approval for an acion; a threatened penalty for disobeying a law or rule. We have a moral obligaion to do good. We feel remorse when we don"t do good. The ulimate sancion is the general feeling in our own minds. Duly: as might be expected or predicted. Uility rule of morals coincides with every other rule of morals. Transcendental: of or relaing to a spiritual or non physical realm. The person who believes in uilitarianism is more likely to do good then the person relying on feelings because they understand that the right thing to do is to make everyone happy. Ontology: the branch of metaphysics dealing with the nature of being. Those who rely on their subjecive feelings to do good rely on their strength.
