Sometimes this design was seen as unsafe, it was not oriented towards the street, did not fit into the jane jacobs eyes on the street concept. Jacobs concept was about integration to help prevent crime. Pruitt-igoe was demolished: question emerged what link there was for social problems and architecture, by design it segregated low-income people to a particular area, ghetto. Created environment that was void of humanity, void of caring.
