Sustainable land use and urban form: evaluation: how to measure urban form, features: what are the design concepts and features of sustainable urban form, causes: what are the key forces shaping urban form, governance/solutions. How can it be applied: the spatial statistical results can be used to. What are the key concepts/perspectives associated with sustainable urban form: density, walkability, food accessibility, resiliency. Key perspectives of urban form: sociability, uses and activities, access and linkages, comfort and image. If the place is poorly designed and a lack of character, people will not stay. Key forces shaping urban and regional form: adapting from richard norgaard"s theory of co-evolution, demand and supply are crucial, these parameters present the direction for altering the urban forms and internal spatial structures. Typologies of urban policy interventions: planning and building regulation, fiscal and non-fiscal incentivization, direct provision by public and/or voluntary sectors, education and awareness-raising promotion of behavioral change.
