The reason perpetrators do what they do is because their desires and also the stigma associated with these preparators. It is to stop them from becoming perps and stop people from becoming victims: the research is can we actually get people sympathetic enough to allow for change to take place. Memories of sexual violation: two issues: one has to do with the perpetrators, far more often perpetrators are manipulating, ingratiating and becomes a friend. The biggest thing they have to keep themselves safe is the silence of the child. They asked the children for example to think about a time they were in a hospital once a week for 10 weeks. They were then subsequently interviewed after the 10 weeks by an adult (psychologists). The person who was interviewing didn"t know about what the children were told. 58% of the children came up with false detailed stories.
