O maybe detrimental to work if no positive image: ie can get information from people to solve a case, you need people"s trust therefore need good. Multiple and diverse task: demand and respond to challenging situations, each day brings surprises. Knowledge of the law and act lawfully. There is no simple profile, but things that appear more often. Control group: no differences in psychological disorders or intelligence (or brute strength, differences in suspiciousness, cynicism, conservatism, authoritarianism, loyalty, secretiveness, cop culture values: suspiciousness, cynicism, conservatism, out-group prejudice, pessimism, physical courage, and self-assertiveness. Wooten and brown (2000) solidarity, pragmatism, mission and action. Weren"t measured hence these two lists are different. Can identify 3 clusters: cluster #1. Have training, responsibility and authority to do something about it. Trained to respond; can act when we are hesitant to do so because we"re scared to do so. Role vs situation that requires you to be a certain way.
