If they do not respond, say salaam again until they all greet you appropriately. Peace be on you too: we should race to say salam first, when we say salam first its keeps us from being prideful (find a better word) What do we say when we are thankful to allah: e. g, finish eating, getting a new toy, ect. We also say this when we sneeze. Do you usually have a good day or a bad day: alhamdulillah praise be to allah.
