Most of the tenses we had seen up to now were in what it is called: the indicative mood. The indicative is used to make statements: facts, actions that are definite, could be in the present, past or future. There is a certain level of certainty from the speaker"s viewpoint. The subjunctive, on the other hand, expresses an attitude such as: doubt, uncertainty, request, suggestion, opinions, denial, will, influence, hope, desire and such. Irregular verbs have changes on the verb stem. For example: sacar que yo saque. So the endings are always the same, but the body of the verb may change. Uses of the subjunctive: after a verb of will or influence such as: Sugerir : (this verbs will be in the first clause in the normal indicative, but they will be followed by the subjunctive in the second clause or phrase) Les aconsejo que ustedes compren los libros. or impersonal expressions such as:
