Talks about what socrates says in court; his defense speech, estimation of correct penalty (epitimesis) and final address to jurors after death sentence. Possibility that plato twisted what socrates said to paint him in the best light. Touches on the fact that the accusers are saying un true things and he will only be telling the truth even though they warned the jury he would deceive them. Asks jury to focus on what he is saying not how he speaks. Better are arguing the weaker case than powerful. Kids were taught by these accusers at a young age that socrates was bad. He says these accusations come from people believing he has human wisdom, but says that is a lie. Mentions witness chaerephon who asked god at delphi if anyone was wiser than socrates - answer = no.
