The wheel of fortune (rota fortuna: described the cyclical pattern of life, king in power losing power out of power gains power again. Look to the past & return to the golden age . State of things is explained by an appeal to a divine power such as. Social order / political powers generally understood as divine in origin. I am a king because i am god, son of god, chosen by god.
