Shape: when you know what object is, no matter what view you look at- will assume that still will be square shape. Size: know that height of bridge is same size, even though they have different size image in eye, perceptual constancies tell you that the height of bridge is same size. Colour: see different image, but assume that still same colour, if black and blue- will have extra light, but if yellow and white- assume that there is a shadow over the dress. Whether brain perceive extra light or shadow. Ticked by what we are seeing: tell us about normal perception. But they are actually the same size. When have lines with pointed end- will cue us to angles.
