Direct - something cause something to happen i. e. when both variables go up or both variables go down e. g. depression causes suicide. Inverse - when something goes up other goes down i. e. when one variable goes up and one goes down. Multiple - when there"s a bunch of variables and all directions vary i. e. other factors involved. Spurious - a false correlation between two or more variables, even though it appears to be true. Fallacy of reductionism - reduce all the answers to one particular thing i. e. using the same excuse for everything (i. e. Ecological fallacy - same as reductionism by using excuses but with environmental factors: theory. Inductive logic- a system of reasoning that moves from data to the formation of a theory (data to theory) Gather information about a topic before developing theories about how to explain particular aspects.
