Perception & Cognition of typography
-this is the way “a” and “g” look the majority of the time that we read it...yet we
don’t know what they actually look like...weird isn’t it?
-You don’t read the way your think you do...You have actually memorized the
overall look of words and rather than reading each one, your eyes basically look
at the first and last letter, and skim the top half of words and then your brain
takes its best guess...context is highly important also. We often predict the next
words in a sentence which helps us read quickly and efficiently.
