People who are gifted typically work really hard of course, quantity alone does not make one a genius. The quality of the quantity matters - shermer. In addition to those factors suggested by gagn (2002), there are a range of factors that variably contribute to giftedness: (as with any other behavior, whether typical or exceptional): Other biological factors including, neurological functioning. Social factors (e. g. , peer groups, family, community). Points to role of heredity factors in aspects of gifted cognitive ability. Gifted abilities are more likely the product of effortful and motivated practice. Involves persistence in repeating, refining, and perfecting skills: research suggests giftedness is a combination of genetics and social factors.
