Forensic chemistry encompasses many diferent things: drug ideniicaion, examinaion of the efects of drugs and poisons, analysis of gunshot residues, analysis of combusion, fire invesigaion. A natural or syntheic substance that is used to produce physiological or psychological efects in humans or other higher order animals. The nature of the drug experience can be approached from two disinctly diferent aspects of human behavior: psychological dependence, physical dependence. Psychological dependence: condiioned use of a drug caused by underlying emoional needs. The common denominator that characterizes all types of repeated drug use: emoional factors that play a part in drug dependence: His or her expectaions about the drug experience. Seings in which the drug is used: the psychological experience with a drug can vary in intensity and is diicult to deine.
