Document Summary

Slide 2: some future of cognitive psychology past no mri. What the brain looks like person in mri looking at someone in pain. Slide 4: if we know the brain works, we must acknowledge how memory and perception comes to be. Slide 6/7: study conducted on brain responses on coupons. Slide 10-18: neurons are building blocks, they are specialized to receive and transmit info. Dendrites bring into from nucleus to the cell body, where it is collated and used to figure out if info is carried to the axon and axon terminals sending electrical impulse down the axon. Picture only 1 neuron, in the brain there are thousands of neurons when info comes to the axon terminal, the info sent back to the dendrite (on-going process) analogy: electrical wiring in house. Slide 19: axon is surrounded by myelin making it more efficient. Myelin is like insolation (plastic covering) inside the house, largely the function of myelin.
