Value: things that people consciously or subconsciously want to seek or atain. Value percept theory: a theory that argues that job saisfacion depends on whether the employee perceives that his or her job supplies those things that he/she values, dissaisfacion = (vwant vhave) x (vimprtance) Vwant relects how much of a value an employee want. Vhave indicates how much of that value the job supplies. Vimportance relects how important the value is to the employee: the diference between want in need is muliplied by importance, so exciing discrepancies get magniied for important values, pay saisfacion.
