Stretch and tendon relexes, muscle spindles and tendon organs. Inborn (intrinsic, present at birth ) relex: rapid, predictable motor response to a simulus, unlearned, unpremeditated, involuntary , built in, prevent having to think about (ex. Posture, avoiding pain, controlling visceral aciviies: may (ex drop pot of splashed hot water) or may not (change in bp) be aware of relex response.
