Historical process: history is a process of constructing narratives. It is telling a succession of related episodes : it is a process of synthesis. Synthesizing episodes/information: it is a process of hypothesis. It is a hypothesis bc what is related is not visibly evident or veri able in their own rights. History is not simply a list of facts" that occurred in the past. History is an interpretative process that enables synthesis formation, hypothesis formation, and ultimately the historic narrative. It is affected by social, cultural, political and religious environment: history is a hypothesis in that we cannot physically return to the event. Thus, historical formulations are based on fact and conjecture: history is an attempt at a explanation and re-constitution of the past.
