Introduce the skill: name it, tell why it is important, relate it to similar ones: select 2-4 key elements according to the skill level of the learner, use examples and non-examples, use appropriate terminology, speak loudly and clearly. It should not last more than 3 minutes . 60-90 seconds is best: present materials dynamically! Use a set induction to prepare students for the lesson (overview, what students will be doing, how, and why) Cue before & after practice (repeating is ok!)
