Whether you imagine or practice in your head, both have the same performance outcome. Firing the same neurons from imagining the situation and from actually doing it. Goals: allows us to connect to our goals, gives us fulfillment. Strategies: very specific focus cues, form of rehearsal. Can imagine in ones mind can be helpful productive or destructive. Must take control of images in our minds and our thoughts. Thoughts constantly drive us away from our goals. The slower imagery is, the most impactful it is.
