Painting on walls is an old tradition to the ancient egyptians or bolognaise. Egyptians will paint the walls of their homes in remote villages. Paintings trace major events in families history: pilgrimage to mecca. 150 artists went around from the whole world went to tunisia to paint the walls. Decorations are from all over the world: very free in style and form and colors. A new way to claim the streets (walls of the people, walls of the freedom) State retaliation: wiping down political graffiti, prohibiting and criminalizing street art, arresting artists: many artists arrested for doing this kind of art for showing direct democracy. International outreach: books, articles, blogs celebrate its emergence of this new art: took street art to higher decimation. Two betrayed the square: scaf and the mb. Signs and posters were prominent and played an important role in creating a space for the people to debate and share their opinion.
