This is because it is already a rather dry environment receiving water from precipitation, not directly from the marsh. Consequently, water drainage would not have an impact on the abundance of the plant in its preferred habitat. In contrast, partial water drainage could be beneficial to the distribution of this plant throughout mer bleue.
