Fish are going to be the bony fish, needle like structures. Swim bladders enable the fish to defy gravity and not sink. Fins that are supported by muscles and bones extend into the fin. Evolution of the tetrapod (two limb organisms) Meristem are plant cells that can differentiate into specialized cells. Meristem can be determinate (fate is decided) or indeterminate (can produce more meristem; flexible) Tracheophta: indeterminate meristem, lignified secondary cell wall (tracheary cells, sieve elements) Cell wall with lignin which means that bacteria can"t break it down, it is indigestible, and hydrophobic. Hollow tube cells so that the water can run up the length of the cell because the lignin is a secondary cell wall (hydrophobic)
