All have mechanism to use and produce energy and get rid of wastes. Dna - same way of storing and using. Have cell membrane to show outer border of cell. Prokaryote is about the same size as a mitochondrion cause it used to be one. Surface are to volume ratio, rates of diffusion, adequate concentrations or synthetic capacity. Dna sequencing can only give a hint to species.
