Referred to as the father of experimental physics and modern optics and scientific methodology. Aristotle: he observed nature and natural history in order to create the ladder of life . Minerals ranked below plants, plants below animals, animals below humans, and humans below the gods of the spiritual realm. Artificial taxonomy: an arrangement based on superficial or arbitrary attributions. It is a rule of how things are organized and classified.
