Well there were climatic shifts that occurred (periodic glaziation where there was cooling and warming etc) They weren"t adapted weren"t adapted (not true) They were actually adapted to live in cold climates: more likely due to over hunting, of these animals by humans who were good at hunting. Humans in north america: atl- atl instead of throwing the spear they would whip it with accuracy and the spear would be launched, we were hunting cats because they were seen as a threat. Cellular respiration in which carbohydrtes breask dthem dwon for energy and releases back co2 from us humasn. Co2 and temperature increases: back 1000 ywars the level of co2 don"t change much, volcanic activity but regardless no huge change, it has been stable unlike the last. Historical variation: we see that co2 and temperature varies.
