They are the second biggest animal out in the world. They have unique feeing structure called radula that is used to scrape organic materials off the substrate of the ocean but also break through the bacteria algal mass that nobody can break through. They live inside the calcareous shell and protect itself from the predators. Either presence of a u shaped gut and lophophore. Trochophore larva: mollusc and annelids are two big phyla, which at some point after the egg hatches is the little multicellular larval stage called trochophore. It has little spinning top that has ciliated band around the middle, which create locomotion and water currents to propel food inside the digestive system. It morphs into different shapes and ultimately convert into four phyla. Animal innovations (apomorphies: schizocoel and metanephridia filtering coelomic fluid, dorsal heart and pericardial cavity: heart on the upper side of the body lying inside the pericardial cavity.
