Thought hemichordates had notochord, turns out the notochord was not a real notochord. Forces liquid section of blood out through thin cells. Moves on to protocoel and recovery of what we need. Cilia on proboscis is sending filtrate food back to preoral ciliary organ. Cilia propel mucous string into digestive track using a water current. Water out gill pores, removes out of the food, doesn"t not go through the digestive track. Neurotube to make notochord, and muscle at the end. Endostyle makes the mucous right at pharynx, not preoral. Hollow nerve chord, mesodermal blocks, notochord, lateral undulating swimming motion. Protostome = every cells fate is determines, one is muscle etc. Deuterostome = cells influence each other, determined by cells next to it. Cell is induced to develop into what they are going to be. Flappy rabbit ears instead of mickey mouse ears but same concept. Start to develop into the notochord instead of mesoderm.
