Document Summary

Levels of classification the further down you go the more related. Domains and kingdoms progenote depending on microbiologist you may classify in ways archaea and eubacteria are prokaryotes the other eukaryote archaeabacteria/eubacteria are prokaryotes and other 4 are eukaryotes. Most common definition is a reproductive compatibility given that many bacteria do not reproduce sexually this definition cannot be used. No, some bacteria can change genetic material, (e. yeast), most reproduce asexually but some reproduce secually. Macroorganisms reproduce sexually? (ex. humans) no because plants reproduce asexually, reptiles, snails, the majority reproduce sexually but not all. Microbiology defining a species because you cant talk about reproductive compativility, it is a set of strains (talking of microorganisms of same species, denomination under species, organisms of same species) Which share lots of characteristics but which are significant to other set of strains from another species, we define it by reference strains to compare to see which species they belong to.
