Evolution of use of clothing in naked humans body lice relationship remerged when we started wearing clothing again. Evolution of loss of hair, and evolution of use of clothing. We started using clothing around 200,000 years ago when humans were colonizing more northern temperate. Absence of colour = connective tissue and hemoglobin. Range of skin colour in humans more skin tones than any other mammals because most are covered in body hair. Skin colour is a presence vs. absence. Light skin = transparency we see colors of our tissues, and vascularity (pinkish undertone) Ancestors had pink skin under fur and there had to be an evolution of skin pigment. Skin colour is polygenic (several genes involved) Effects are additive based on combinations of alleles. Additive more genes you get that code for pigmentations the more pigment you get. Capital letter = presence of pigment; lowercase letter = absence of pigment.
