Feeling of pressure, opened hole in skull to relieve the pressure. Neurons in the brain are not able to feel sensation. Pain comes from tissue that surrounds the skull. Result of the contraction of the muscles that form a band around the skull, band of muscle contracts and squeeze tissue that surrounds it, which causes the pain. Can treat with any pain killer, prostaglandins involved: vascular. Involves circulation of blood throughout the tissue on the skull. Toxic headache: ingests a poison and the body responds with a headache, Vasodilation blood vessels get larger to allow more flow, as they get larger in skull tissue will create pain. Alcohol acetaldehyde (worst poison) acetic acid (harmless) Depending on genetics; effect can be low or high. Low amount of the first enzyme will produce excess acetaldehyde, a lot of the second enzyme, suffer less. The darker the beverage the worst the hangover. Alcohol increases liver function, dangerous to take acetaminophen for hangovers.
