Trying to discriminate between whats good and whats bad. Rhetorical criticism is an attempt to understand what was happening, some of it would be good and some of it would be points that tell what could be better in the speech not the negative. Talking and understanding about judgments of the speech. We can judge a speech on different grounds good or bad. If youre talking about the ethics of the speech, a speaker may be judged very bad. Hitler, was a very effective speaker, but if you judge him one ethical grounds, then he"s a very bad speaker. If you judge him on impact he was amazing at it, how ever worst of the speakers in terms of ethics.
